Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya shared a glimpse of his batting session in the nets.

Hardik Pandya lately has been in and out of Team India due to fitness issues. After he underwent back surgery in 2019, the flamboyant all-rounder has struggled to bowl his full quota of overs regularly.

Pandya was last seen in action during the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Much like Team India’s campaign, the all-rounder too struggled to get going. His selection in the marquee tournament even invited a lot of criticism as many were of the opinion that an unfit cricketer shouldn't find a place in the team.

It was reported that Hardik Pandya pulled himself out recently concluded T20I series New Zealand at home and also asked the selectors to not consider him for selection for time being given that he is focussed on working on his fitness to get back to full bowling fitness.

Notably, he also withdrew himself from the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021-22 and was also not named in the Indian squad for the upcoming ODI series against South Africa.

Hardik Pandya has been sharing the progress of his fitness with his fans with videos of workout sessions and with Team India having a jam-packed schedule in 2022, they would be hoping for an all-rounder to regain his fitness as he can play a vital role for the team.

Pandya on Monday (10th January) took to his official Instagram account and shared a video of him batting in nets and captioned it "Step by step. Putting in the hard yards.”
