Afghanistan defeated Zimbabwe in the second T20I at Abu Dhabi by 45 runs.
Afghanistan skipper Asghar Afghan has registered his name as the most successful T20I captain along with India's MS Dhoni. His side defeated Zimbabwe in the second T20I by 45 runs to take an unbeatable lead of 2-0 in the three-match series.
Asghar equaled the record of former India skipper with 41 wins in T20I cricket as captain. Dhoni had led Team India to 41 wins in 72 matches with a winning percentage of 59.28.
The 33-year-old has a better winning percentage as captain than Dhoni. Asghar has so far led Afghanistan to 41 wins in only 51 matches and has a winning percentage of 81.37. Nothing to take away from the Afghanistan captain, but Dhoni took India to the T20 World Cup title win in 2007 and faced stronger sides in his captaincy stint.

Speaking after the match, Asghar said: "T20s are very important for us with the World Cup coming. Morale is high if you win. Today Karim and Usman's partnership was really good."
Zimbabwe's Sean Williams pointed out the highlights of the match. "Very disappointed. Thought we started off well. The opening spells from the bowlers were reasonably good. But getting two overs that were hit for more than 20 hurt us really badly.
"Then losing four wickets in the powerplay also a big blow. Can go back and look at the shot selection including myself. When you lose like this it's important about how you get back up. Winning a game from here and then getting on the plane will be a huge thing for us. Maybe there's a possibility of that happening, it's been discussed (him moving up the order along with Raza)," he added.
Afghanistan had posted a target of 194 for Zimbabwe after batting first. Karim Janat 53 (38), Usman Ghani’s 49 (34), and Mohammad Nabi quick 40 (15) were the top contributors with the bat. In reply, Zimbabwe was bowled out for 148 and Rashid Khan picked up three wickets in his three-over spell.
