They used MS Dhoni’s short name MSD to spread awareness about social distancing as in - Maintain Social Distancing (MSD). Given that Dhoni has a massive following in the state thanks to his enormous success with the Chennai Super Kings franchise in the IPL, winning three titles with the team as their captain since IPL 2008.
He has been adopted by the city as its son and Tiruppur police are using Dhoni’s fame and influence to make people aware of the government’s measures.
