With no international or domestic cricket going on due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cricketers are keeping themselves busy with social media activities.

On Tuesday (May 12), Indian batsmen Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina interacted with each other during an Instagram Live session. They discussed a range of topics and at the end of the chat decided to pick a combined Mumbai Indians-Chennai Super Kings XI.

Rohit and Raina, who represent MI and CSK in the Indian Premier League respectively, initially named each other as part of the line-up but later pulled out their names and instead played the role of a selector.

The duo selected Sachin Tendulkar and Matthew Hayden as openers followed by Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu, Kieron Pollard and MS Dhoni.

They named Dwayne Bravo, Hardik Pandya as seam bowling all-rounders while Ravindra Jadeja was the designated spinning all-rounder in the XI. Jasprit Bumrah and Harbhajan Singh complete the bowling attack of the star-studded side.

After the selection, Rohit jokingly said he would take over the role of batting coach while Raina could be the fielding coach.

Notably, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are the most successful teams in IPL history. While MI has won the title four times in 12 seasons, CSK has lifted the trophy thrice from 10 seasons.

MI-CSK XI picked by Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina:

Sachin Tendulkar, Matthew Hayden, Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu, Kieron Pollard, MS Dhoni, Dwayne Bravo, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Harbhajan Singh.
