The Indian pacer was due to make his comeback via the now-suspended South African ODI series.
Unfortunately, that series got postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic and Bhuvneshwar's much-awaited return to the top-level game was delayed.

However, the 30-year-old told TOI, he is now "fully recovered from the injury and is raring to go" whenever the on-field play is safe to resume.
Bhuvneshwar is also ensuring his recovery doesn't go to waste by focussing on bodyweight training while in lockdown.
"While it’s hard to keep indoors for a person like me who has always been accustomed to travelling, training and doing outdoor activities, as an athlete these are the times when we still need to prioritize fitness even while staying safe at home," he added.
"Staying in, I was motivated by ASICS’ #StaySafeStayStrong challenge and have started to do a lot more exercises. Skipping and body weight training (calisthenics) has become an integral part to keep myself fit as there are no weights or gym equipment at home."
Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar, who would've been looking forward to the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), also reflected upon the different captaincy styles of Kane Williamson and David Warner, who was to take over the leadership mettle for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
"I think both the players have done really well for Sunrisers Hyderabad and given it their all for the teams cause," he said. "Both the players led from the front as captains and I am sure it will continue that way in whatever capacity these guys play."
"Also, I don’t see much difference in the approach, but all that I know is that they are willing to do everything for the team."
