South Africa skipper Quinton de Kock was happy with other batsmen scoring runs in this ODI series against Australia and admitted to the fact that others scoring runs have taken a lot of pressure off his back.

It's good to see some of the boys coming in and scoring runs. I think it's important that happens. You can't always rely on one person. These new guys coming in and scoring runs is great to have and it takes a lot off my back,” skipper de Kock said.

The swashbuckling opener De Kock lead the Proteas really well throughout the summer had to sometimes carry his team on his own. The same was the case in the recently concluded T20I series that the home team lost 2-1.

But, thanks to their superb batting performance in the ODI series, the Proteas helped themselves with a series-winning lead of 2-0 over the Aussies.

Heinrich Klaasen has made runs in both ODIs (123* in first and 51 in the second) as well as the newcomer Janneman Malan's 129* in the 2nd ODI are some of the superb performances by South African batsmen.

The 27-year-old who has not had a great ODI series so far with the bat still thinks that he is playing well as he said, “I still feel like I'm batting well, obviously Starc is just giving me one or two problems.

The De Kock led Proteas will be taking on the Australians in the third and final ODI of the series on Saturday (7 March) at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.
