India batsman Rohit Sharma scored consecutive hundreds in his first game as Test opener for India. He scored 176 runs in the first innings and followed it with 127 against South Africa in Vizag. Overall, 13 sixes came out of Rohit's bat, and he went past Navjot Singh Sidhu's record of eight sixes in a Test match.

In the first innings Rohit put on 317 runs for the first wicket with Mayank Agarwal, and his century in the second innings helped India to get a good grip in the game and score a huge lead. He and Cheteshwar Pujara stitched together a 169-run partnership in the second innings. It was an applaudable effort by Rohit, and he did get recognization for his efforts.

New Zealand cricketer Jimmy Neesham also gave his views on Rohit's innings. He was asked by a fan to comment on his innings, to which, Jimmy responded in a funny way. "I think it's fair to say he's started ok," replied Neesham. It's the tone of his tweet, which made the tweet look funny.
