Starting with Ashes 2019, the ICC Test Championship will see names and numbers on Test jerseys as well.
Ex-Australia cricketer Adam Gilchrist didn't like the latest names and numbers printed Test jersey. He called it rubbish in one of his tweets during the first Ashes 2019 Test.
ICC had approved the use of names and number on the back of the jerseys in Test cricket. Majority of the fans loved the new look and welcomed it. But not Gilchrist, who seems to have not liked it much.
"Outstanding. We are underway. Sorry to sound old fashioned but not liking the names and numbers," he said in his tweet.
Another tweet followed it where he took his apology back and used a little more harsh words. He wrote, "In fact, I'll take my apology back. The names and numbers are rubbish. Enjoy the series everyone."
Soon, Virat Kohli and his men will also be wearing their numbers and names during the India-West Indies series.
