India won the U19 World Cup title for the 4th time.
India U19 World Cup winning team is getting applause from all quarters for their dominating performance in the tournament.
The team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and even defeated arch rivals Pakistan in the semi-finals in a humiliating manner. They also defeated strong contenders for the title, the Australia team, twice in the tournament. No team seemed to come close to giving India any major competition. The team worked in unison, as both the batsmen and bowlers did their work to perfection and were backed up by the fielders.
Captain Prithvi Shaw, Coach Rahul Dravid and his support staff too were applauded for their work with the junior team and BCCI recently announced cash prizes for the members of the U19 World Cup contingent. This was also the fourth time India won the U19 World Cup crown, making them the nation with most U19 World Cup wins.
The Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan read out a congratulatory note before the budget session.
