A spectator breached security during a domestic T20 match in Afghanistan, running onto the field to snatch the cap off wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz before fleeing.

The incident took place during the Shpageeza Cricket League clash between the Band-e-Amir Dragons and Mis Ainak Knights on Friday (July 4).

The light-hearted intrusion took players and umpires by surprise as the fan sprinted past security. Rather than getting angry, the Afghanistan star took the stunt in good spirits and smiled. His teammates on the field were equally amused by the bizarre, sudden heist.

Here’s the clip:

The unexpected moment brought some laughter during an otherwise one-sided match. The Dragons, led by Hashmatullah Shahidi, were bundled out for 114 in 19.3 overs. Ziaur Rahman and Mujeeb Ur Rahman picked up three wickets each for the Knights.

In reply, the Knights overhauled the paltry 115-run in just 9.4 overs to register an emphatic eight-wicket victory. Gurbaz and Khalid Taniwal slammed half-centuries during the chase.
