Kohli was named the Player of the Match for his knock in RCB's win.
Virat Kohli has always had a commanding presence on the field, whether with or without the bat. Earlier on Sunday in the IPL 2025 match between PBKS and RCB, he made headlines with a fiery send-off after running out Nehal Wadhera during a match against the Punjab Kings, which instantly went viral.
But Kohli was not done. During the run chase, as he stepped out to bat, the RCB icon drew fans' attention once more, this time for his amusing interaction in Punjabi with PBKS spinner Harpreet Brar.
Kohli, who has Punjabi ancestry, was caught on stump mic telling Brar that he has been playing cricket for 20 years and knows his coach.
“20 saal ho gaye cricket khelte hue, aese stump thodi na ho jaunga. Tere coach ko bhi janta hoon (I’ve been playing cricket for 20 years, I’m not going to get out like that. I even know your coach),” Kohli was caught on stump mic saying to Brar.
Brar couldn't help but laugh at the conversation, and social media quickly picked up on the lighthearted occasion.

Kohli, who hit an unbeaten 73 off 54 balls, was in fine form as he led RCB's chase of 158. With Devdutt Padikkal's stunning 61, the two put up a 103-run partnership to all but seal the game.
The win moved Bengaluru level on points with Punjab, as both clubs battle for a playoff position and their first IPL crown.
