Ahead of Mumbai Indians’ (MI) IPL 2024 match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens, on Saturday (May 11), a video featuring Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Nayar has taken the internet by storm.

In the clip, the former MI skipper could be seen being involved in an intense conversation with KKR's assistant coach.

While there was a lot of background noise, it didn't take long for fans to figure out what exactly was spoken between Rohit and Nayar.

In the viral footage, the two could be heard talking about 'things changing'. When the video was about to finish, Rohit also said that "it's his last".

Though the rest of the conversation isn’t audible, fans speculated that Rohit and Nayar was talking about the current situation at Mumbai Indians, particularly Hardik Pandya's appointment as skipper.

Some fans also alleged that KKR had deleted the video after uploading it on social media platform X.

"Ek ek cheez change ho raha hai...Woh unke upar hai...Jo bhi hai woh mera ghar hai bhai, woh temple jo hai na maine banwaya hai (Everything is changing one by one... It's on them... Whatever, but it's my home brother, it's the temple that I constructed)."

The last audible line in the chat is, "Bhai mera kya mera to ye last hai (brother, this is my last anyway)."

Earlier this week, Mumbai Indians were knocked out of the IPL 2024 playoff race, marking a significant upset in this year's tournament.

MI’s ouster was confirmed after Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) demolished Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 10 wickets and 10.2 overs to spare while chasing the target of 166 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Ahead of the IPL 2024 season, Hardik Pandya, who completed a high-profile trade from Gujarat Titans (GT) to MI, replaced Rohit Sharma as skipper.

Under Hardik’s leadership, the five-time champions failed to make an impact. They have lost eight of their 12 matches in the competition so far.

Amid the dismal show, a report emerged some days ago, suggesting that multiple senior players in the MI camp aren't happy with Hardik Pandya's captaincy.

According to the report, the senior stars also said that Hardik's style of captaincy doesn't create the required 'buzz' in the MI dressing room.
