MI decimated RCB in their recent clash in IPL 2024 in Mumbai.
In an exceedingly unusual occurrence, two of cricket's most prominent players, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, enjoyed a sweet moment during the recent IPL 2024 match between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
MI was chasing the 197-run target set by RCB and the incident happened in the second over of MI innings.
Rohit Sharma was standing at the non-striker’s end after taking a single and Virat Kohli was switching sides as left-handed Ishan Kishan was to take strike. As Kohli walked across the pitch, he patted Rohit Sharma on his back to get his attention.
The ex-MI captain immediately noticed and as a gesture of acknowledgment gave a thumbs up to Kohli.

Ishan (69 off 34 balls) led the MI batting charts to give his team a flying start in the run chase. Kishan and Rohit (38 off 24 balls) added 101 runs for the opening partnership in 8.4 overs. Suryakumar Yadav returned to his best with a 19-ball 52 and skipper Hardik Pandya's 21 not out off 6 balls ensured MI raced home with 7 wickets in hand and 27 balls to spare.
