Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has indirectly reacted to Murali Kartik's controversial remark on pacer Yash Dayal during the 6th IPL 2024 match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Monday, March 25.
While commentating during an IPL 2024 match between RCB and PBKS in Bengaluru, Karthik said, “Someone's trash is someone's treasure," which drew criticism from fans and the cricket fraternity.
In the wake of the backlash, RCB took to Twitter to laud Dayal for his remarkable performance during the team’s 4-wicket win over PBKS at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, as the franchise indirectly addressed the controversial remark made by Kartik on-air.

Sharing a stunning picture of Dayal on their official X handle, RCB wrote in the caption, “He’s a treasure. Period.” They also added a red heart and a fire emoticon to their post.

Well, Dayal showcased his prowess with the ball finishing with figures of 1/24 in 4 overs to help RCB restrict PBKS to 176 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. He was also the most economical bowler for RCB in the match.
Notably, Dayal was acquired by RCB for INR 5 crore in the IPL 2024 auction last year after being released by the Gujarat Titan.
