Virat Kohli scored 77 in 49 balls as RCB won the match by 4 wickets against PBKS.
Set a 177-run target to chase, RCB didn’t start well as they lost Faf du Plessis, Anuj Rawat, and Glenn Maxwell for 3 runs each. However, Virat Kohli held one end up and scored a brilliant 77 in 49 balls with 11 fours and 2 sixes.
But then Dinesh Karthik (28* in 10 balls) and Mahipal Lomror (17* in 8 balls) took RCB home with 4 wickets in hand and 4 balls remaining.
Amidst the carnage, PBKS spinner Harpreet Brar stood out with figures of 2/13 in 4 overs with wickets of Rajat Patidar and Glenn Maxwell. Brar is also known for bowling his overs quickly and rarely gives the batters time to think.
This was on display during the RCB v PBKS match which led to a funny incident involving Virat Kohli.
Going into the 13th over of the run chase, RCB needed 74 runs from the last eight overs with Kohli and Glenn Maxwell at the crease. As Brar was rushing through his over, Kohli, who was on the non-striker end, to ask Brar to slow down to allow them to breathe a little.
"Saans to lene de (let me breathe)"- Kohli was heard telling Brar on stump mic, with Maxwell laughing.
