Jasprit Bumrah will lead the Mumbai Indians (MI) bowling attack in the IPL 2024. He had missed the previous edition of the tournament due to his back injury but has already joined the MI camp ahead of their IPL 17 tournament opener.

MI will face off against Gujarat Titans on Sunday, March 24 in Ahmedabad in their first match of the IPL 2024 under new captain Hardik Pandya.

The pacer will be aiming to put in a strong start in IPL 2024, and showcased it during a recent training session.

In a training video posted by MI on X, Bumrah can be seen doing a fielding drill and making a one-handed diving grab that left Rohit Sharma shocked. In response, the former MI captain praised Bumrah.

Bumrah is coming off an excellent performance in the England Test series where he picked 19 wickets. He finished as the joint-fastest (34 matches) Indian bowler and the fastest Indian pacer to reach 150 wickets in Tests. He also became the first Indian pacer to reach no. 1 spot in ICC Test Player Rankings.

Bumrah is the first bowler to achieve top spot in rankings of all three formats.
