Hardik Pandya replaced Rohit Sharma as MI captain ahead of the IPL 2024.
Mumbai Indians (MI) are all set to begin their journey under new captain Hardik Pandya in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), starting on March 22.
Notably, the Mumbai Indians (MI) have traded Pandya from the Gujarat Titans (GT) and appointed him their captain for the upcoming IPL 2024, replacing the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.
Well, Pandya’s appointment as MI skipper was not welcomed by the franchise fans, and he is still facing backlash on social media.
Meanwhile, ahead of the 17th edition of the IPL, Pandya expressed his eagerness to represent the MI once again in the league. The MI skipper also called for the fans' unwavering support and promised to make the upcoming IPL 2024 an exhilarating and successful season for the five-time champions.

The MI captain continued, “The city's love and teachings are invaluable to me, shaping me into the cricketer I am today. Mumbai always challenges you to be better and now with the IPL, I have returned home after 2 years.”
Pandya signed off by saying, “I seek the same backing from our fans to propel us towards victory. Rest assured; I'll ensure a thrilling season that every supporter will relish. It's a journey we'll all enjoy together.”
