Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are due to host Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 49 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday (May 6).

On the eve of the game, a heartwarming video took the internet by storm. In the clip, CSK skipper MS Dhoni and his MI counterpart Rohit Sharma could be seen in one frame while batting in their respective nets during the training session.

Taking to Twitter, Mumbai Indians shared the video with the caption: “Caption jaane do. Video dekho.”

CSK’s official Twitter handle also released the video of Dhoni and Rohit’s batting practice in adjacent nets with the caption, “Just can’t skip this!”

While CSK will go into the game after a no-result contest against Lucknow Super Giants due to rain, MI will enter the match having defeated Punjab Kings by six wickets in their last outing.

Earlier this season, CSK and MI faced each other at the Wankhede Stadium, with Dhoni’s team beating Rohit’s side by seven wickets.

As of today, CSK are occupying third spot on the points table having won five of their 10 games whereas MI are placed at sixth position in the 10-team standings with five victories from nine matches.
