CSK batted first and gave their fans all the worth of their ticket money as thanks to the half-centuries from Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane, and Shivam Dube, they posted a massive 235/4 on the board in 20 overs.
However, the biggest cheer was reserved for MS Dhoni as the ground vibrated with the chants of his name as he walked out to bat after Jadeja's dismissal in the final over. Dhoni couldn’t do much and scored 2* in 3 balls faced.

With the great man on the strike, the jam-packed Eden Gardens started chanting ‘Dhoni… Dhoni… Dhoni…’. It was an iconic moment and even opposition batter Venkatesh Iyer, who was sitting in the dugout, started vibing on the chants.

In reply, though Jason Roy and Rinku Singh scored half-centuries, KKR only managed 186/8 and lost the match by 49 runs.
The speculation is rife that Dhoni might bid adieu to IPL after the ongoing season. The legendary wicketkeeper batter himself admitted that it is the last phase of his career and he wants to enjoy it after Chennai Super Kings’ clinical 7-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad.
