IPL 2023: WATCH- SRH’s Harry Brook celebrates maiden IPL ton with a rasgulla

Brook made 100* with 12 fours and three sixes.

Harry Brook finally showcased the talent which bagged him an INR 13.25 crores bid from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2023 auction as after poor outings in the first three matches for his team, the Englishman bludgeoned his maiden IPL ton which came against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

On Friday, April 14, Brook spoiled the party of KKR as he hit 12 fours and three sixes in 55-ball 100* that took SRH to 228/4. Aiden Markram also made a 26-ball 50 and Abhishek Sharma made 32 in 17 balls.

West Indian all-rounder Andre Russell was the most effective Kolkata bowler and took 3-22 before he went off the field because of an injury concern at the start of his third over.

In reply, only captain Nitish Rana of KKR and Rinku Singh could manage substantial scores as the made 75 and 58* respectively as the KKR team posted 205/7 in 20 overs and lost the match by 23 runs.

Brook described it as "a special night" and said that "this knock is definitely up the there" with my other top performances. In a video shared by SRH, Brook was seen eating 'rasgulla', with his face covered with cake.
