PBKS will face RR in their second match on April 5 in Guwahati.
However, ahead of their second game of IPL 16 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) which will be played in Guwahati, Assam on April 5, it was confirmed that PBKS has named the replacement of the all-rounder who has played two matches for the franchise.
Raj Angad Bawa was the star performer for the India Under-19 side in the summit clash of the World Cup in 2022 against England and scalped a five-wicket haul in the second innings to help the team clinch the coveted title.
The 20-year-old was picked up by the Punjab Kings in the mega auctions in 2022, however, a left shoulder injury before the IPL 2023 has forced him to miss the entire tournament.
As his replacement, PBKS has named Gurnoor Singh Brar. The left-hander made his first-class debut for Punjab in December 2022 and has featured in five first-class matches, scoring 107 runs at a strike rate of 120.22, along with seven wickets at an economy of 3.80.
Brar was picked by the franchise for INR 20 lakhs and will join the team ahead of their away clash against the Royals.
