IPL 2023: WATCH- 'Coaching Rohit Sharma is going to be interesting'- MI head coach Mark Boucher

Mark Boucher has also a strong message for the Mumbai Indians players ahead of IPL 2023.

Mumbai Indians’ new head coach Mark Boucher has made it very clear that he wants results from his team in the upcoming IPL 2023 while describing himself as a result-oriented coach.

The former South African head coach further said that he is also really excited to work with Rohit Sharma in the IPL 16, saying coaching the India captain is going to be quite interesting.

Speaking in a video shared by MI on Instagram, Mark Boucher said: “It’s going to be quite interesting. I have played against Rohit before. I think he is a fantastic player and a good leader as well, so I’m really looking forward to it. Looking forward to sitting down and having a chat with him.”

The newly-appointed MI coach continues, “I think we have one or two things in common. I know he likes conservation, so that will be an interesting chat as well. So yeah, I think there are certain ways that I coach and it will be an interesting conversation to have with him.”

On being asked about the expectations of the team in the IPL 2023, Boucher said: “There is always expectations. It is one of the best franchises in world sports. And with that comes a lot of responsibility. So, I’m a guy who’s driven by results. I am very result-oriented as well.”

He signed off by saying, “So, yes, I know that I have got to perform and the players have got to perform as well. I am really looking forward to that challenge.”
