Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2022 will see Rajasthan Royals (RR) taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in an intense clash on May 27, 2022, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The winner of this match will face Gujarat Titans (GT) on May 29 in the final, also to be played in Ahmedabad.

RR had played well against GT in Qualifier 1 despite losing the match, while RCB decimated LSG in the Eliminator with both teams coming into this match with their game face on and everyone is expecting a brilliant encounter ahead of the IPL 2022 final.

RCB are eager to get into their fourth IPL final, while RR would want to pay rich tribute to their mentor Shane Warne and get in the final and go all the way.

Keeping this in mind, here is the Team COC Predicted Playing XIs for the RR v RCB Qualifier 2 match.

RAJASTHAN ROYALS

Sanju Samson and co. will get their second chance to get into the finals as they face off against RCB in a stiff challenge. They have been doing well in the tournament and qualified at the second spot in the points table in the league stage.

Jos Buttler showed that he was still in form against GT in the Qualifier 1 match, while Jaiswal failed to come to the party. However, both of them need to fire against RCB if RR wants a second date with GT in the playoffs.

The time is ripe for Sanju Samson to play a captain’s knock when it's most needed and continue his good form into a big score. Devdutt Padikkal showed good form in the last match and would want to contribute further to RR’s winning cause.

Shimron Hetmyer and R Ashwin have been in great hitting form and have done the finishing duties as well. Riyan Parag has contributed here and there with the bat, while has been a live wire in the field.

Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal have been excellent in middle overs keeping the runs down and taking wickets as well. Chahal would want to fight off competition from Wanindu Hasaranga for the Purple Cap.

Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna have been excellent with the new ball, while Krishna would want to forget the last over against GT and bring a fresh attitude and energy into this important match. Obed McCoy was good in the last game in the death and would want to repeat that performance once more.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE

Though Faf du Plessis got out for a golden duck in the Eliminator, he has been in great form for RCB throughout the tournament. Virat Kohli has found his form a bit more and would want to give it a bit more push to contribute more.

Glenn Maxwell and Rajat Patidar have strengthened the RCB middle order with Patidar being the hero of RCB’s win in their last match with a century and something similar will be expected of him against RR as well.

Dinesh Karthik, Mahipal Lomror, and Shahbaz Ahmed have added quick runs when needed and Ahmed has been amazing with the ball also, giving brilliant support to Wanindu Hasaranga, who is in a battle for Purple Cap with Yuzvendra Chahal.
