The 67th match of the IPL 2022 will see Gujarat Titans (GT) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Wankhede Stadium on May 19, 2022. This is a must-win game for RCB to stay alive in the playoffs race, while for GT it is a chance to experiment a bit with their XI.

GT have already qualified for the playoffs and with 20 points have ensured that they will play the first qualifier and have two chances to make it into the finals.

RCB have 7 wins from 13 matches and 14 points and a win here will take them to 16 points. However, their playoff qualification will still depend on whether Mumbai Indians manage to defeat Delhi Capitals as they have a better net run rate.

Keeping this in mind, here is the COC predicted playing XIs for the RCB v GT match.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE

RCB have their fate in their own hands, as they need to win this match to remain in contention for playoffs and need to win it by a good margin to better their net run rate a bit.

Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and Dinesh Karthik along with Rajat Patidar have been the main scorers for RCB throughout the tournament, while Shahbaz Ahmed has contributed with the bat and the ball as well. Virat Kohli continues with his struggles with the bat.

Josh Hazlewood came for some pasting in the last match but has been RCB’s safest pacer with Mohammed Siraj being all over the place. Harshal Patel and Wanindu Hasaranga have given RCB wickets when most needed and Faf will need them to do the same if RCB wants to qualify for playoffs.

GUJARAT TITANS

GT will play in the first qualifier of the IPL 2022 after confirming their spot in the top two of the IPL 2022 points table.

Shubman Gill has been in good form and has found a great opening partner in Wriddhiman Saha, who has taken the burden of scoring quickly in playoffs off Gill.

Matthew Wade has been tried once more after initial failures, but he has yet to come good. Maybe time to give Rahmanullah Gurbaz a chance as well.

David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, and Hardik Pandya along with Rashid Khan have formed a very good middle order for GT and they have won matches in impossible situations. Rashid has been good with the ball, controlling the run flow in middle overs.

This match may very well be the time GT gives some of their bowlers a chance to rest a bit and one of them might be Mohammad Shami, who can be given a breather, and possibly Varun Aaron included in the XI.

RCB COC Predicted Playing XI:

Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis (C), Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Shahbaz Ahmed, Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga, Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood

GT COC Predicted Playing XI:
