The 51st match of the IPL 2022 will see Gujarat Titans, the table toppers, clashing with Mumbai Indians who are placed at the 10th spot on May 6, 2022, at the Brabourne Stadium. GT are coming into this match after their first loss after five straight wins, while MI turned a page with their first win in the tournament.

Gujarat Titans need one more win to qualify for the playoffs as they have 16 points already with 8 wins from 10 matches, while MI are almost out of playoffs with 1 win from 9 matches but still can play spoilsport for some other teams.

Keeping this In mind, here is the COC predicted playing XIs for the GT v MI match

GUJARAT TITANS

Gujarat Titans lost their second match of the tournament against Punjab Kings and it was due to a batting failure in which both Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya didn’t score. This has been one of the big issues for them in the last few matches.

Hardik may also need to stick to the tried and tested way of winning the toss and bowling first.

Sai Sudharsan had hurt his ankle in the last match and if he doesn’t get fit in time, Abhinav Manohar may come in his place. David Miller and Rahil Tewatia have been amazing with the bat in chases, but couldn’t do much batting first after wickets were lost first up.

“It’s always about England, India and Australia”, Chris Gayle expresses concern about the health of Test cricket

Rashid Khan has been contributing in one form or another either with the ball or the bat. Alzarri Joseph, Lockie Ferguson, and Mohammad Shami came in for some pasting in the last game against Punjab Kings, but have been very good otherwise and would like to build pressure on under-fire MI batting.

Yash Dayal, if fit, will mostly come in for Pradeep Sangwan.

MUMBAI INDIANS

Mumbai Indians finally broke the poor run of form in IPL 2022 and after 8 losses, won a match, defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR). While their batting has been a total failure, barring Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma doing their best with the bat; MI’s bowling has been a whole new low for the five-time champs.

In six of their games, Mumbai has had at least one over where they conceded 20 or more runs. The opposition batters are okay with playing out overs from Jasprit Bumrah and go after the other bowlers.

Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan have to try and regain some form in these remaining matches for the morale of the team, while Kieron Pollard and Tim David need to continue the work they did against RR.

Daniel Sams and Riley Meredith have done well with the new ball, but need to support Jasprit Bumrah more. Hrithik Shokeen and Kumar Karthikeya bowling in tandem was a sight for sore eyes and hope they continue good work for the champion franchise.

GT COC Predicted Playing XI:

Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha (WK), Sai Sudharsan, Hardik Pandya (C), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammad Shami, Yash Dayal
