The Mumbai Indians' (MI) bowling seems to have been a weak spot in their Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) campaign, with none of the pacers contributing significantly with even Jasprit Bumrah struggling.

The Indian bowlers of the MI squad have been unable to complete the task, and the international pacers have been leaking lots of runs.

MI has employed two of their three overseas pace bowling alternatives, with Riley Meredith being the only one who has yet to play for the team. MI has Arjun Tendulkar among the Indians, and as per a report in The Times of India, MI is expected to sign Dhawal Kulkarni, despite the team's poor performance.

Kulkarni has been part of the MI squad previously as well and was with them till IPL 2021. After going unsold in the IPL 2022 mega auction, the right-arm bowler joined the Star Sports Hindi commentary team for the IPL 2022.

MI is in the bottom place in the points table after six defeats in as many games, and another loss at this point will put them on the cusp of early elimination. On Thursday, the Rohit Sharma-led team will meet Ravindra Jadeja's Chennai Super Kings in the 33rd match of the IPL 2022. (April 21).
