IPL 2022: Match 27, DC v RCB- COC Predicted Playing XIs

DC defeated KKR in his last match, while RCB lost to CSK in theirs.

The 27th match of the IPL 2022 will see Delhi Capitals (DC) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 16, 2022. RCB has won 3 matches out of five, while DC has 2 wins in 4 matches.

DC is coming into this match after a gap of five days when they defeated KKR in their last match. This also affected their net run rate in a positive way and they will look to continue the momentum despite the rest in between and move up the points table.

RCB, on the other hand, handed CSK their first win of the IPL 2022. This is an extremely important match for both the sides seeing the packed points table and keeping this in mind, team COC presents the Predicted Playing XIs for the DC v RCB match.

DELHI CAPITALS

Delhi Capitals got a few days to assess their strategy in the tournament despite the big win in their last match against KKR. Both opener Prithvi Shaw and David Warner are in fine form and will expect a bigger contribution from them at the top.

The good news for them is that all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is available to them and will provide the balance they were missing. Rishabh Pant has been getting starts and would like to continue his knock once he has that momentum and get a big score under his belt.

Rovman Powell has done decently, but that big knock or a good spell is what is expected from the talented West Indian all-rounder. Lalit Yadav and Akshar Patel have done well with the bat and ball, supporting Kuldeep Yadav to the max.

Fast bowling has been a bit of a sore spot for the Delhi Capitals as Anrich Nortje is not yet fit to play apparently. Khaleel Ahmed has done brilliantly to hold onto his spot with Shardul Thakur supporting him and Mustafizur Rahman well.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE

RCB almost chased down the huge target of 217 runs against CSK but will be happy to know that their batting in the middle and lower-middle order is clicking and clicking well.

While Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat have done well individually, they need to put on a decent opening partnership. Virat Kohli has looked decent, but a good and big score still eludes him in the tournament.

Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Dinesh Karthik are in great form with the bat and the addition of Suyash Prabhudessai has done wonders for them as he impressed on his debut.

Wanindu Hasaranga has been the trump card for RCB picking wickets and keeping the run rate in control. Akash Deep got some pasting in the last match, and he might make way for Harshal Patel.

Mohammed Siraj and Josh Hazlewood will need to contain the dangerous DC openers and their experience will dictate how well the RCB does in this important match.
