Tewatia hit Odean Smith for 2 sixes off last two balls to win the match for GT vs PBKS.
Chasing 190 to win the match, Gujarat Titans needed 19 runs in the last over after Shubman Gill’s 96 had taken them close to the target. Odean Smith bowled the last overdid well initially to take the equation to 13 runs off three balls.
David Miller hit the short ball from Smith back to him and Tewatia wanted the single to come on strike for the last two balls of the over. Smith aimed at the bowling end stumps to run out Tewatia and missed the mark, allowing the batters to complete the single.

This ended with Tewatia taking strike for the last two balls with 12 runs needed for the win. He slammed Smith for two sixes as required and kept the GT unbeaten in the IPL 2022 with three wins in three games.
Tewatia took to Twitter hours after pulling off a heist against Punjab Kings and thanked David Miller for taking the single and allowing him to come on the strike.
“Thanks for the single mili paa @DavidMillerSA12,” Tewatia tweeted with a handshake emoji.
Miller responded to the all-rounder with a handshake emoji.
The next two deliveries form Odean Smith were hit into the leg-side crowd for sixes as Tewatia once again broke the hearts of Punjab Kings and won a match for his team against them from a tough situation.
