Chennai Super Kings posted the video featuring MS Dhoni on their Instagram account.
Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni signed the contract with their respective franchises for the upcoming IPL cycle. They have been retained by their franchises ahead of the IPL 2022 mega-auction.
The official account of CSK posted the video featuring Dhoni, who can be seen filling in the required details while confirming the contract. "#THA7A van-in ???? still haven't left behind... #YelloveAgain #WhistlePodu????," wrote Super Kings.
Dhoni had played only two seasons for other franchise when CSK were banned in 2016 and 2017. He continued to captain the team from IPL 2018 and led the side to two IPL title wins since their return.
On the other hand, Rohit posted his video on Instagram and he looked like signing the contract in the middle of a shoot. The MI skipper kept the papers on the back of the guy who brought it for him and signed it.
"Signed and sealed," wrote Rohit while sharing the video on Instagram. Mumbai are currently the most successful IPL franchise with five title wins in the cash-rich league.
Ahead of the IPL 2022 mega-auction, a total of 27 cricketers - 23 capped and four uncapped - have been retained by the 8 franchises. Some of the star players like Rashid Khan, KL Rahul, and David Warner were released by their previous franchises.
