During the 42nd match of IPL 2021 in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday (September 28), Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounder Krunal Pandya took his run-out appeal back against KL Rahul at the non-striker's end after the ball ricocheted off the Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper.

The incident occurred in the 6th over of Punjab’s innings when Chris Gayle hit a delivery straight back down the pitch and it ricocheted off Rahul to Krunal, who was quick to whip the bails off but soon withdrew his appeal.

Krunal’s gesture won the hearts of the fans and it also impressed Rahul, who quickly gave his MI counterpart Rohit Sharma a thumbs up.

Here’s the video:

KL Rahul was batting on 20 at that time and he went on to add only 1-run to his tally before getting out to Kieron Pollard in the 7th over. His 22-ball knock included two boundaries.
