Coetzee replaces Liam Livingstone who opted out of IPL 2021.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) have named South Africa's Gerald Coetzee as the replacement for English batsman Liam Livingstone for the remainder of their IPL 2021 campaign.
Liam Livingstone pulled out of the IPL 14, citing bubble fatigue as the reason. The Sanju Samson-led franchise has roped in South Africa's Gerald Coetzee for the remainder of their campaign.

Taking to their official Twitter account, RR announced that the 20-year-old young fast bowler has joined the franchise as a replacement for Livingstone.
“Rajasthan Royals have signed South African fast bowler Gerald Coetzee as a replacement for England’s Liam Livingstone for the remainder of the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021,” an IPL media release said.
Gerald Coetzee is a 20-year-old fast bowler who has played for South Africa in two U-19 World Cups. He has played eight T20 matches so far and has taken nine wickets at an average of 23.33 in the format.
RR however, didn’t have a great start to their IPL 2021 campaign. In the six games, the Sanju Samson-led franchise has won only twice and is placed seventh on the points table. They will next face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in New Delhi on Sunday (2nd May).
