IPL 2021: Rohit Sharma reacts to the new CRED advertisement, featuring former Indian cricketers

Rohit Sharma's MI will take CSK on Saturday (1st May) in an IPL 14 encounter.

Ahead of their IPL 2021 encounter against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma was happily surprised over the singing avatar of former Indian cricketers Venkatesh Prasad, Javagal Srinath, Saba Karim and Maninder Singh in the new advertisement for CRED. 

Featuring in a new advertisement of CRED, former Indian cricketers Venkatesh Prasad, Javagal Srinath, Saba Karim and Maninder Singh are seen singing a song. 

"If you are one of those genZ, you might not know me, just go and ask your daddy, don't forget us because of T20s, don't baby, in the 90s, we were the OGs, on your CRTs.

"We were the OGs, chasing big runs, beating the Aussies, bowling long spells in Sharjah ki garmie, we were the hotties, ask your phuphaji, who were the OGs, it was us," The lyrics read.

Reacting to the advertisement, MI skipper Rohit Sharma was elated with the new avatar of former Indian cricketers and recalled Prasad's words to him as a coach 

“From listening to you coach me on the field, to now listening to you sing while I am on my way to the stadium. Venky bhai....it's been a journey,” Rohit Sharma tweeted. 

Rohit Sharma will next be seen in the action at Arun Jaitley stadium as defending champions MI will take Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Saturday (1st May).
