Tripathi scored 41 off 32 deliveries with skipper Eoin Morgan at the other end.
KKR batsman Rahul Tripathi who played a good knock of 41(32) with skipper Eoin Morgan at the other end said that it felt really nice to finally get a win under their belt.
“Feels nice that we’ve won the game. It was an important game for us after having lost three games in a row. Bowlers did extremely well to restrict them to a low total. We did lose early wickets but we knew that if we played proper cricketing shots, we could chase it down,” Tripathi said.
The right-hand batsman then talked about the close run-out call which he felt he had faltered to make his ground and started walking back to his team’s dugout but was adjudged not-out after seeing the replays.

“Yeah, I thought I was out (on that dive which saved him from a run out). Saw the throw coming and felt that I was a fraction late. Was a little upset but on seeing the replay, was really happy,” he added.
Tripathi looked really good before he was dismissed by PBKS all-rounder Deepak Hooda.
When asked about his dismissal, the 30-year-old said, “I was set, wanted to take a chance against the offie. Probably should have gone harder, went half-hearted. Rash shot. Would have loved to carry on.”
After PBKS, Eoin Morgan and Co. will be taking on Delhi Capitals (DC) on Thursday (29 April) at the same venue in Ahmedabad.
