The 6th match of the IPL 2021 edition will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on April 14, 2021. The match will be a night match and will start at 7.30 PM IST.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, none of the participating franchises will play a match at their home grounds and all matches will be played at neutral venues.

The IPL 2021 will be played across six cities- Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru. Ahmedabad will also host the playoffs and the final of the IPL 2021 on May 30.

SRH lost their first match to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), while RCB beat Mumbai Indians (MI) in their first match, and both the teams would like a win in this encounter. Hence, Team COC presents the Predicted Playing XIs for the SRH v RCB match in Chennai.

SUNRISERS HYDERABAD (SRH)

SRH team fell just 10 runs short of a valiant chase set up by the KKR team in the opening encounter for both their teams. Chasing 188 to win, SRH fell short despite valiant fifties from Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow.

IPL 2021: WATCH- Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is capable of beating any team, says Rashid Khan

Warner might have missed a trick by not playing another spinner to aid Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sandeep Sharma proved to be a tad bit expensive. Nabi and Rashid accounted for 4 wickets giving away 56 runs in 8 overs and another spinner here would have been golden for them.

This may lead to them bringing in either Abhishek Sharma or Shahbaz Nadeem for Vijay Shankar as the Tamil Nadu all-rounder didn’t look comfortable with either the bat or the ball, despite it being his home ground.

Batting-wise, the SRH team did nothing wrong, but they could do with another big hitter at the start and in the end as well. They need to win this match to get on the points table and getting a running start to their IPL 2021 campaign.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE (RCB)

RCB batting and bowling came good against their rivals Mumbai Indians (MI) in the opening match of the IPL 2021 edition on April 9. RCB bowlers did amazingly well to keep the MI batting to just 159 runs.

Then their batsmen came to the party, despite MI’s valiant effort to defend the small total. RCB now has gotten their batting order perfect.

They will also have the services of Devdutt Padikkal for this match and he is expected to return to his opening position, with Virat Kohli. This might see Rajat Patidar keeping the no.3 spot in the XI. Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers powering the middle order are just what the doctor had ordered for RCB.

Both of them can go after both the spinners and fast bowlers and even then they have the all-round strength of Dan Christian and Kyle Jamieson and even Harshal Patel can tonk a few.

Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Glenn Maxwell might become a spin bowling trio, while Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel did amazingly well as Indian fast bowlers with Christian and Jamieson providing good support.

SRH COC Predicted Playing XI:

David Warner (C), Wriddhiman Saha (WK), Manish Pandey, Jonny Bairstow, Mohammad Nabi, Vijay Shankar, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan

RCB COC Predicted Playing XI:

Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli (C), Rajat Patidar, AB de Villiers (WK), Glenn Maxwell, Washington Sundar, Dan Christian, Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal
