The 14th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to kick-start on Friday (April 9) with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) taking on defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

While MI have won the IPL trophy five times including back-to-back in 2019 and 2020, RCB are yet to win their maiden title and will be hoping Virat Kohli can inspire them to the crown this season which is set to be the final one with 8 teams as BCCI plans to add one or two more teams from the next edition in 2022.

Kohli was in quarantine since April 1 when he joined the team camp in Chennai, and so was 'Mr. 360' AB de Villiers as well. On Wednesday, both entered the RCB bubble after serving the mandatory seven-day quarantine period.

RCB posted a video of the two champion cricketers, who are also very good friends catching up for the first time this season before proceeding with their schedule for the day.

Later, the duo was joined by RCB's newest acquisition Glenn Maxwell, who was bought by the franchise for a hefty sum of INR 14.25 crore in the player auction. The trio danced around at the promotional shoot and seemed to be in good spirits.

Maxwell has not enjoyed success with Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in his last few seasons and would look to start fresh with his new franchise.
