IPL 2021: WATCH- IPL 14 anthem “India ka Apna Mantra”; Twitterverse tear into the new theme song

The Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) excitement is starting to build as there are a couple of weeks before the 14 edition of the tournament begins on April 9. The tournament will be played across six cities due to the COVID-19 pandemic- Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad will also host the playoffs and the final of the IPL 2021 edition, to be played on May 30.

Ahead of the IPL 2021 season, a new anthem for the IPL has been released. The cash-rich league has always been known for generating attractive anthems with some exhilarating themes around it. This time the theme is centered around the youth and bold spirit of India, celebrating the innovative minds in the nation.

The song is titled “India the Apna mantra” and sees one player from each of the eight franchises dancing to the anthem at the end of the video. From MI and RCB, we saw their captains and star players, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. CSK is represented by K Gowtham, Wriddhiman Saha is the SRH rep in the video.

Shubman Gill of KKR, Riyan Parag of RR, PBKS captain KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant of DC complete the star-studded lineup for the IPL 2021 anthem.

The official IPL account shared the video and asked the fans for their response on the anthem. They captioned the video, “#VIVOIPL 2021 Anthem salutes the new, bold and confident spirit of India. Let’s all believe in #IndiaKaApnaMantra.Tell us what you think will be your team's Success Mantra this season. #VIVOIPL 2021 - Starts from April 9th !
