Surya Kumar Yadav had given up his wicket for Rohit in the IPL 2020 final.
Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman Surya Kumar Yadav showed great team spirit in the IPl 2020 final against Delhi Capitals (DC) when he gave up his wicket for captain Rohit Sharma. Rohit was batting on 47 runs, while he was on 19 off 20 deliveries when a mix-up between them happened.
Surya, without any second thought, sacrificed his wicket when Rohit nearly reached his end of the pitch. After the match, the MI captain said he should have given up his wicket as Yadav was in good form throughout the tournament.

"The kind of form he was in, I should have sacrificed my wicket for Surya. Throughout the tournament he has played some incredible shots," Rohit said.
But Surya doesn't regret getting out this way. After MI's fifth IPL title win, the 30-year-old took to his Instagram and said he would sacrifice his wicket for Rohit any day if needed.
Surya scored 480 runs in 16 matches and remained in the top 10 run-getter of the tournament. He batted with a strike-rate 145.01 and an average of 40.00.
