Earlier Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bat first. They had a very poor start as inform Marcus Stoinis got out for the first ball duck off Boult bowling. Rahane also perished for 2 runs and Dhawan got out for 15 runs and at 22/3 Delhi was in deep trouble. In reply, Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock gave a flying start and added 45 runs in the first 4 overs. Stoinis broke this stand by removing de Kock for 20 runs but Mumbai Indians kept scoring quick runs and made the chase easy. Rohit Sharma completed his 50. He played 68 runs knock and set the match for his team. In the end, Mumbai Indians lost a few wickets but in the 19th over Ishan Kishan and Krunal Pandya took their team home.
