RCB restricted KKR to 112/9 after posting 194/2 on the board.
Opting to bat first, RCB piled up a massive 194/2 in 20 overs on the back of AB de Villiers’ 73 not out off 33 balls. Aaron Finch (47 off 37 balls), Virat Kohli (33* off 28 balls) and Devdutt Padikkal (32 off 23 balls) also made notable contributions with the bat.
Amid the carnage, leg-spinner Varun Chakravarthy managed to return with respectable bowling figures of 4-0-25-0 for KKR.
In reply, Knight Riders could only manage 112/9 in 20 overs. It was a listless batting performance as none of the batters managed to touch the 40-run mark. Shubman Gill was the top-scorer with 25-ball 34.
For RCB, pacers and spinners bowled exceedingly well. While Yuzvendra Chahal (1-12), Washington Sundar (2-20) were economical with the ball and claimed three wickets between them, Chris Morris (2-17), Navdeep Saini (1-17), Mohammed Siraj (1-24) and Isuru Udana (1-19) picked up five wickets among them.
Cricket experts were mighty impressed with RCB’s dominant display over KKR in all facets of the game.
