IPL 2020: “This is and always will be my home”, Rohit Sharma after his 150th appearance for Mumbai Indians

Rohit has led Mumbai Indians to record four IPL titles.

Having completed his 150th appearance for Mumbai Indians (MI), skipper Rohit Sharma said the franchise will always be his home and he also expressed gratitude towards everyone who has helped him through this journey.

Rohit achieved this milestone during his team’s clash against Delhi Capitals at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Sunday (October 11).

"Loved representing this jersey for the 150th time. This is and always will be my home. Appreciate everyone who has helped me through this journey," Rohit tweeted on Monday (October 12).

In 150 matches for MI, Rohit has aggregated 3,994 runs. He has also led the franchise to four IPL titles after taking over the captaincy in 2013.

Apart from Rohit, Kieron Pollard is the only player to have featured in 150 matches for Mumbai Indians.

Coming to the match, MI defeated DC by five wickets to claim the top position on the IPL 2020 points table.

The defending champions produced a brilliant performance with the ball to restrict Delhi to 162/4 in 20 overs.

Krunal Pandya was the stand-out bowler for MI, claiming 2 wickets by giving away 26 runs in his four overs. Jasprit Bumrah (0-26) and Rahul Chahar (0-27) were also economical with the ball.

In reply, Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav scored 53-run each in 36 and 32 deliveries respectively as MI overhauled the target with two balls to spare.

Mumbai Indians will take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their next clash on October 16.
