Rajasthan Royals lost to table toppers Delhi Capitals by 46 runs on Saturday.
Ex-cricketer Aakash Chopra came in defense of Yashasvi Jaiswal who played a slow knock against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Friday. The Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener scored 34 runs off 36 deliveries before getting out to Marcus Stoinis.
Jaiswal, the 19-year-old, is playing his first IPL and has a long way to go. This is a learning phase for the youngster but he was not spared by the trolls on social media after his knock.
Chopra didn't like the negative tweets against a budding cricketer and slammed the trolls for mocking Jaiswal. He wrote, "Have a heart. That’s all I’ll tell you. Leave the kid along, please. I am sure that senior players can take a joke but it’s unfair to expect the same maturity from a 19yo".

The cricketer-turned-commentator tried to remind the trolls Jaiswal is just 19 and has already made a name for himself.
He further wrote, "Before mocking a 19yo cricketer, please ask yourself—what were you doing when you were 19? The kid you’re making fun of has already represented India at U-19 level was Man of the Tournament at the World Cup & has scored a double-century in List-A cricket for Mumbai."
Jaiswal, who was bought by RR for INR 2.4 crore, is the youngest cricketer to score a List A double century in the world. He had smashed 203 for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
