Royal Challengers Bangalore beat defending champions Mumbai Indians in a thrilling super over in Dubai yesterday night and clinched their second win of the IPL 2020.

Earlier Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first. Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal gave a good start of 81 runs. Finch got out after scoring 52 runs off 35 balls. Kohli's poor form continued and he could score only 3 runs off 11 balls and RCB reduced to 92/2 in the 13th over.

After that Padikkal and de Villiers added 62 runs for the third wicket and the former brought up his fifty. Boult broke his stand by removing Padikkal but de Villiers was rock solid and went on to hit a few sixes off Bumrah bowling and his 55* runs off 24 balls and Dube's 27* runs off 10 balls helped Bangalore to post a big total of 201/3 on the board.

In reply, Mumbai Indians had a very poor start and lost three quick wickets of Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Quinton de Kock and at 39/3 they're in big trouble. Hardik Pandya too couldn't do much and managed only 15 runs before getting out on Zampa's bowling.

In the last 4 overs, Mumbai Indians needed 80 runs to win and the duo of Ishan Kishan and Kieron Pollard changed their gears and smashed Zampa for 27 runs and Chahal for 22 runs and thus they needed 31 runs in the last 2 overs and 19 runs in the last over of Isuru Udana. Ishan Kishan hit 2 back to back sixes and set the match for a tight finish but on the second last ball he got out after playing a good knock of 99 runs. On the last ball, Kieron Pollard hit a four and thus match ended in a tie.

In the Super Over Navdeep Saini bowled brilliantly and conceded only 7 runs to Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya and later AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli chased down the target of 8 runs in Bumrah's over. AB de Villiers was named Man of the Match.
