The 12th match of the IPL 2020 saw Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) taking on the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in Dubai. MI won the toss and chose to bowl first, a norm in the ongoing tournament.

MI brought in Ishan Kishan for Saurabh Tiwary; while RCB brought in Isuru Udana, Gurkeerat Singh, and Adam Zampa, making wholesome changes to their XI.

Both openers of RCB made the fifties, but the initiative was taken by Aaron Finch, who batted for most of the power play and ended up making 52 in 35 balls with 7 fours and 1 six. Padikkal made 54 off 40 with 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Virat Kohli fell for 3 runs continuing his torrid run in this tournament so far. But AB de Villiers continued his good form and hit 55* in 24 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes and was aided well by Shivam Dube, who slammed 27* with 3 sixes to his name.

Trent Boult picked 2/34, while Pattinson went for 51 runs as RBC posted 201/3 in 20 overs.

The cricket fraternity was amazed at the way RCB paced their innings and kept going after the MI bowlers throughout the innings, special praise was reserved for AB de Villiers for the perfect finish he gave his team.
