In their second game of IPL 2020, KXIP faced Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Dubai and scored 206 in the first innings. RCB's batting order collapsed and the side was skittled out for 109 in 17 overs.

However, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) skipper KL Rahul led them from the front with a sublime unbeaten knock of 132 runs off just 69 balls. The match was always balanced in KXIP's favor as their skipper Rahul looked in great touch and paced his innings perfectly.

IPL 2020: "A good IPL for KL Rahul as skipper may result in him becoming India's captain in future": Sunil Gavaskar

In his innings of 132*, which is the highest individual score in IPL history by an Indian cricketer and by a captain, he hit 14 boundaries and 7 sixes. All those shots had a classy touch, as one would expect from the Karnataka batsman.

Rahul received praise from the cricket fraternity and the Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma also took to social media to praise the 'classy' innings. Sharma wrote, "Some solid shots there by @klrahul11 classy hundred"

KL Rahul thanked Rohit Sharma and said that he took inspiration from his knock the other day.

Kings XI Punjab went on to win the game by a huge margin of 97 runs. With their first win in their second game in IPL 13, KXIP now leads the points table.

While all teams except Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Kolkata Knight Riders have won a game each, the Punjab-based franchise leads the pack with a Net Run Rate of more than +2.
