Kerala wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson is considered one of the brightest cricketing talents in the country, though he could manage a very few opportunities at the international level despite performing consistently in the domestic circuit and the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well.

However, the Kerala keeper got the limited opportunities – four T20Is but he hasn't been able to capitalize on the limited opportunities that he has got, scoring just 35 runs so far.

After hogging the headlines during his debut 2013 IPL season when he became the youngest batsman to score to an IPL fifty for Rajasthan Royals, the right-hander earned his maiden ODI call-up for India during the series in England in 2014 but unfortunately, he didn’t get an opportunity there.

Then in 2015, the talented batsman finally got the chance to make India debut against Zimbabwe in a T20I series but he couldn’t make a mark and eventually dropped from the side. Following his string of good performances in the domestic cricket, he was recalled for Sri Lanka and New Zealand series and again he failed to make an impact with his performances last year.

However, Samson hasn’t much international experience but has been fortunate enough to face a lot of world-class bowlers having been part of the IPL for the last seven years in the IPL.

In a recent interview with Manorama Online, Samson was asked to pick the toughest bowler in the IPL and the batsman named Kolkata Knight Riders and West Indies spinner Sunil Narine as the toughest bowler he has faced in the premier T20 extravaganza.

Samson said: “Sunil Narine. Though I have played well against him in the IPL, he’s a superb bowler,”
