Finch got sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2020 auction.
Australia Test captain Tim Paine's banter with Aaron Finch during last year's Indian tour Down Under turned out to be prophetic. When Aaron Finch was sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL auction on Thursday, Cricket.com.au reminded fans of the prophetic banter of Paine.
During the India vs Australia Test series, Paine, the wicket-keeper was heard talking about Finch's transfer from one franchise to another and how Virat Kohli, RCB captain hasn't had him in his team.
“You’ve nearly played for every team now,” Paine said. “Except Bangalore,” Finch replied. “Except Bangalore?” Paine questioned.
Finch started his IPL career with Rajasthan Royals in 2010. After which he went to Delhi Capitals (2011-12), Pune Warriors India (2013), SunRisers Hyderabad (2014), Mumbai Indians (2015), Gujarat Lions (2016-17) and Kings XI Punjab (2018). Now, the Bangalore franchise has got the Australian batsman for INR 4.4 Crore.
