Sanjay Manjrekar had earlier tweeted that Williams can be a good buy in the IPL auction.
West Indies fast bowler Kesrick Williams remained in news for the last couple of weeks because of his banter with Indian captain Virat Kohli. The two had a go against each other in the T20I series which was less verbal and more action.
Williams got attention when he dismissed Virat Kohli in the second T20I. In the third T20I at Wankhede, he bagged the wicket of Rohit Sharma and also turned out to be the most economical bowler for West Indies in the match.
IPL 2020: Sanjay Manjrekar finds Kesrick Williams good for IPL; Kevin Pietersen strongly disagrees
Earlier, Sanjay Manjrekar had praised Williams. He felt the Caribbean pacer is good enough for the Indian Premier League.
However, the 29-year-old Vincentian bowler still failed to impress the ex-England batsman Kevin Pietersen. Pietersen feels Williams has nothing special in his bowling except for the unique celebration.
"Completely disagree. He’s not good enough! He has nothing special apart from his celebration," wrote Pietersen to a fan who demanded his inclusion in the Royal Challengers Bangalore side for IPL.
Kesrick, who joined Twitter a few days back, responded to the tweet by KP with a simple emoji. The pacer doesn't want to answer with his words it seems. Even after getting Kohli and Rohit out, he had kept mum on the field.
