Jofra Archer's vicious bouncer to Kane Williamson sparks Twitter battle between their IPL franchises

IPL fans will hope these teams also battle it out in the same spirit at the auction.

Jofra Archer bowled a scathing bouncer to Kane Williamson that gave rise to a twitter banter between their IPL franchises ahead of the IPL 2020 auction.

New Zealand and England drew the second Test at Hamilton which was affected by rain. On Day 5, Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson scored hundreds and ensured that no wicket fell on the final day of the Test.

As Williamson was battling against the English bowlers, there was Jofra Archer who was troubling him with bouncers. One of the bouncers was really vicious. Williamson ducked under it and the ball went just millimeters away from the helmet grill. Archer’s IPL team Rajasthan Royals (RR) took the opportunity and posted the photo of the moment on Twitter.

They captioned it, “Too close for comfort, Kane?

Williamson's team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) replied to the tweet with a football reference. They wrote, “Bend it like Beckham Kane”.
