Mumbai Indians were the first team to win the Indian Premier League title three times as they have been champions in 2013, 2015 and 2017. All three title wins have come under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.

The Mumbai Indians team lost out on a top-four finish in IPL 2018 after losing a must-win match against Delhi Daredevils in the league stage and were knocked out. The Mumbai team has been one of the best teams in the league given their popularity and success since 2013. The team had lost in the finals once to CSK in 2010 before ultimately winning the tournament in 2013 and 2015 beating CSK both times.

In IPL 2019, the history is with them and given their pick of players in the IPL 2019 auction Mumbai Indians will present a formidable challenge to eight other teams.

Team COC presents to you 5 Dependable match winners for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2019

EVIN LEWIS
Evin Lewis made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in 2018 and scored 382 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 138.40. He has come into the IPL fold on the back of his two impressive T20I hundreds for West Indies against India. Lewis has since sparkled in whichever T20 league he has played in and for the West Indies as well. He is destructive at the top and takes advantage of powerplay nicely.

KRUNAL PANDYA
Krunal Pandya has been a vital cog of Mumbai Indians ever since debuting in 2016 and has since picked 28 wickets in 39 matches and has scored 708 runs with a strike rate of 153.91. He is best remembered for his amazing innings in the finals of IPL 2017 against Rising Pune Supergiant, which enabled Mumbai to put up a formidable total and then defend it and win the match by 1 run.

JASPRIT BUMRAH
Jasprit Bumrah has become a household name thanks to his unique action and ability to pick up wickets at will. 63 wickets in 61 matches for Mumbai Indians might not be an impressive stat, but the impact that Bumrah has had for the franchise ever since being discovered by them in 2013, has been huge. He has also taken over from Lasith Malinga as the lead strike bowler of the franchise.

HARDIK PANDYA
Hardik Pandya, the younger of the Pandya brothers started for Mumbai Indians in 2015 and impressed a lot with his striking abilities, especially in a match against CSK, where he tore apart the bowling of Chennai Super Kings and helped Mumbai put up a big total. He has played 50 matches for MI and has scored 666 runs at a strike rate of 138.75 and has taken 28 wickets. His fitness will be under scanner in IPL 2019 and it will be the best platform for him to show the selectors that he is fit and raring to go again.

ROHIT SHARMA
One of the leading scorers in Indian Premier league, Rohit Sharma has 4493 runs in 173 matches at a strike rate of 131.02 and has been one of the pillars of Mumbai Indians’ success in recent times. He became captain of the franchise in 2013 and led the team to title wins in 2013, 2015 and 2017, making him the first captain to win IPL thrice. After the failure to qualify for the final four in IPL 2018, Rohit will be eager to make amends in this season.
