The IPL 2027 will be the 20th edition of the Indian Premier League.
The meeting is anticipated to include the 13 state associations that typically organize IPL matches. Furthermore, officials from the broadcaster, in this situation JioStar, have also received an invitation.
The venue hasn't been confirmed yet, but considering the anticipated attendance, the meeting will probably take place outside the BCCI headquarters.
“We have invited all the stakeholders of the IPL, including franchise owners, broadcasters, and hosting state associations. It is a follow-up to our earlier decision to conduct the next season of the IPL, which will be the 20th edition, on a grand scale. We have not yet finalized the venue. We have just shortlisted a few options. We will take a final call soon,” BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia told Cricbuzz.
“As the league approaches its landmark 20th season in 2027, the BCCI proposes to convene a joint meeting of all key stakeholders, namely the state associations that hosted IPL matches, the franchise owners and their chief executive officers, and the broadcasters. The meeting is intended to review the issues and learnings from the past seasons, address any concerns, and deliberate on the planning and coordination for the 2027 season,” Saikia wrote in his letter to the state associations, which is available on this website.
“The State Associations play a central role in the successful staging of the League, and your perspective on matters of hosting, venue operations, and match-day coordination will be of great value to these deliberations,” Saikia further wrote, adding, “We look forward to your presence and valuable inputs and to working together toward making the 20th season of the IPL a truly memorable one.”
It is reported that the meeting will be held at Taj Santacruz at 6 pm on October 15.
